  Our Commitment to You

We know that you're excited about woodworking. Here's our personal pledge to give you the best woodworking experience possible:

Small classes--Woodworking is "hands-on" and requires close, personal instruction. Because we limit the class size to nine students, you're sure to receive the help that you need. Also, learning in a small group creates a friendlier atmosphere. Many people make close friends here and schedule future classes together.

"The small class size was a definite plus. It ensured one-on-one attention."--James D., TX

Informal and friendly--A rewarding woodworking class is more than building a piece of furniture--it's also making friends and memories. Our woodworking school attracts people who are fun and enjoy each others company. You're sure to have a great time. Many people come back year after year for another rewarding experience.

"I enjoyed my two weeks here immensely. I will be back every year from now on."--Scott M., VA

The best value in woodworking education--You'll learn a lot in one of our classes. Before you arrive we carefully plan the sequence of each course. When you arrive we pass out drawings and other information related to the project. We keep the class size small (did we mention that we limit the size of the class?) And we mill the stock for you so that you'll have the time that you need to focus on the skills that you came to learn.

"I really enjoyed the week and I learned more than I could ever imagine."--Phil K., IN

Great projects--Our projects are beautifully-proportioned, attractive designs that you're sure to be proud of. Also, we design each project to maximize your learning experience. All of our projects are constructed with time-tested mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints. These joints are considered to be the hallmark of fine craftsmanship because of their strong, mechanical interlock and classic good looks.

"Thanks, Lonnie! I learned to progress from blissfully incompetent to blissfully proficient!
See you next year!"--Brian T., GA

Great instruction--We've taught hundreds of people how to work with wood, from cutting dovetails to tuning and using handplanes to building large-scale casework pieces. We know how to break down seemingly complex projects into small, manageable steps. People are often surprised at what they're able to accomplish in just a week.

"Lonnie is a woodworking pro who is also a teaching pro."--Max R., TN

"This was a very inspiring course.  Lonnie's instruction, enthusiasm, and encouragement are fantastic!"
--Jeff M.
