In this exciting one-week class, you'll learn to construct finely-detailed casework.  Despite its compact size, this spice cabinet is packed with details, including dovetailed construction, a frame-and-panel door, several rows of diminutive drawers, and bracket feet. At the end of the week, you'll take home a beautiful, heirloom-quality cabinet and an entire new set of skills.

Topics Include:

• Constructing dovetailed casework

• Frame-and-panel door construction

• Constructing dovetailed drawers

• Carefully fitting doors and drawers with a bench plane

• Making and applying moldings

• Mounting hinges and locks

 Class size is limited to nine students so that you’ll receive personal attention and instruction.

Prerequisite: Woodworking Essentials  The spice cabinet is a very challenging project that requires considerable handtool skills. We want you to be prepared for this advanced course so that you will gain the most from your experience. Please read the Prerequisite page for details on our policy.
