Build a Tea Table

This elegant little table features carved cabriole legs, turned pad feet,  delicately scalloped aprons and a finely molded top. In this six-day class, you'll learn post-and-rail construction, bandsawing and shaping compound curves, and shaping and fitting candle slides.  

 

Topics Include:

  • Sculpting cabriole legs
  • Turning pad feet
  • Post-and-rail construction
  • Fitting candle slides
  • Expansion and contraction in a wide top

 

 

Prerequisite: Woodworking Essentials. The Tea Table is a very challenging project that requires considerable handtool skills. We want you to be prepared for this advanced course so that you will gain the most from your experience.  Please read the Prerequisite page for details on our policy.

Note: The shop is air conditioned for your comfort!

Class size is limited to nine students so that you’ll receive personal attention and instruction.
