"Despite woodworking for 40+ years, I learned a great deal from Lonnie's class."
--John O., GA
We feel certain that we offer the best value anywhere in woodworking education. Here's a list of what you'll receive:
- Personal, high-quality, organized instruction. Class size at our woodworking school is small to assure that you receive personal attention.
- We'll mill the lumber--You won't waste your valuable time standing in line at the planer. We mill the stock for you so that you can focus on developing your skills.
- Generous woodworking class hours. Class runs 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. The last day of class is a full day. We don't stop at noon to clean up.
- Use of your own large sturdy woodworking workbench and vise.
- Consumable supplies such as glue, sandpaper, and fasteners.
- Lunch each day of your woodworking class.
Classes meet from 8:00 am-5:00 pm each class day. The shop opens at 7:45 am.
Tools and Lumber
You'll also need to supply lumber and hand tools to build your project. We'll send you material and tool lists when you register for a class and recommend the best type of wood to use for each project. To make things even easier, you can purchase a lumber kit from our supplier to be delivered directly to the school.
We feel that we attract the most enthusiastic bunch of woodworkers in the USA--which is why we rarely have cancellations. However, we offer a generous cancellation policy (see below for details). If you are forced to cancel one of our woodworking classes, let us know in writing--with either a postal letter or an e-mail message.
Signing up for a woodworking class is a mutual time commitment. If you cancel 95 days or more prior to your class's start date, your tuition is fully refundable (minus a $150 processing fee).
If you cancel 61-94 days prior to your class's start date, you'll receive one-half of your tuition (minus a $150 processing fee).
As you can imagine, the closer you cancel to the start date of your woodworking class, the tougher it is to find someone who can make last-minute travel and work arrangements to take your place. For this reason, if you cancel within 60 days of your class's start date, your tuition is not refundable.
Note: Because of the time commitment involved, we are not able to offer a refund on two or four-week classes and the Project Completion Class (unless the class is cancelled by Lonnie Bird's School of Fine Woodworking) .
In the unlikely event that a woodworking class is cancelled by Lonnie Bird's School of Fine Woodworking, we'll promptly send you a full refund.
