Build a Blanket Chest – Choose from two different styles!

This is one of our most popular classes and now you can choose the North Carolina chest or the more challenging Pennsylvania blanket chest.

Both blanket chests are beautifully proportioned and feature sculptural dovetailed bracket feet and a molded lid. This is an exciting, six-day class that's sure to build your skills in dovetailing and the construction of fine casework. At week's end, you'll take home an heirloom chest and lots of great woodworking skills.

Topics Include:

• Dovetailing large-scale projects
• Methods for attaching bracket feet
• Breadboard end construction
• Expansion and contraction in a wide lid

Note: The shop is air conditioned for your comfort!

Prerequisite: Woodworking Essentials. The Blanket Chest is a very challenging project that requires considerable handtool skills. We want you to be prepared for this advanced course so that you will gain the most from your experience. Please read the Prerequisite page for details on our policy.
